Build your own Pulk sledge in Sweden.

We have this brand new amazing 8 day course in Sweden, 5th-12th May 2018, where you will spend a few days making your very own wooden Pulk Sledge, using all the traditional skills and materials with our expert Pulk makers Dan Eliasson and Martin Helmersson.

In just two days under the careful eye and expert guidance you will have your finished Pulk sledge which is yours to keep and cherish forever.

However of course thats not the full story, as we will then all head off into the Swedish wilderness for a few days wild camping, cross country skiing, not to mention some ice fishing along the way for those who fancy a fresh supper in the evening.

No previous experience is needed and don’t worry we will ship your Pride and joy PulK Sledge back to the UK when we leave.

Day 1.
Travel from the UK to Sweden’s capital Stockholm, and then catch another internal flight to Ostersund. Upon arrival you will be met by Intrepid Expeditions’ members of staff, where transport will meet you at the airport and take you north to a remote location where Intrepid Expeditions is based for the winter. A hot meal will be waiting at the warm cosy cabin, all is needed now is to unpack and get some well deserved sleep.

Day 2.
The first thing that greets you in the morning is the view from the cabin. The cabin is basic inside but the view is priceless. After breakfast we travel to the local pulk makers, so that you can learn and start building you very own Pulk Sledge.
In the evening there is a chance to try skiing at night under the most amazing starlit sky.

Day 3.

After breakfast it is back to the Pulk Makers to spend the final day on your new Pulk Sledge.

Day /4/5/6
Again after breakfast the pulks will be loaded with all the team’s equipment needed for the next three days. The next three days will consist of skiing with pulks over various terrains, across frozen lakes, through coniferous woodlands, all set in some of the best scenery Sweden has to offer.

This will be complimented by sleeping in a tent (with burner) at night. You will experience two nights in total. Although skiing as part of a team, the team leader/s will be in contact with the rest of the Intrepid Expeditions team based back at the cabin. You can be reassured that snowmobile support will be at hand, just a radio or satellite phone call away.

Day 7.
Once we have arrived back at the cabin, all that needs to be done is to stoke up the hot tub and sauna under the stars and rest any aching limbs. Following this in the evening a meal will be cooked for the group in the cabin by our Swedish friends.

Day 8.
Breakfast and return to Ostersund airport for onward travel back to the UK.
