"In July 2007, I took part in a fundraising "Castaway Challenge" in the New Forest, which turned out to be a complete life changing experience for me and that was all thanks to Nigel and Ritchie from Intrepid Expeditions.
A small group of us were thrown together for a week to survive in the forest, and under the expert tuition of Nigel and Ritchie we learnt everything we needed to know in order to survive in the wilderness and we also put the new skills we had learnt into practice! I enjoyed the whole experience so much, that I followed it up with a trip to Sweden in January 2008, on the Arctic Survival Challenge. This was absolutely amazing.
