Testimonials

Real testimonials from real people.......

I wanted to send you this note, to thank you all again for the trip of a lifetime.

The Arctic Survival Challenge was completely amazing; from the tranquil beauty of the cabin, to the physically demanding hardship of the survival phase.

We had immense fun cross country skiing, husky driving and snow mobile riding!  Then after this initial luxury we ventured out for the 3 day survival phase in temperatures down to minus 30 degrees.  We built shelters, shovelled snow, chopped down trees, built fires, shovelled more snow, chopped down more trees........in fact we shovelled more snow and chopped more trees than you could imagine - but all the while laughing, smiling and freezing..!!

The whole experience was out of this world, everything was more beautiful, tougher and more challenging than I could have imagined.  I fulfilled lifelong ambitions and dreams, made great friends, worked hard and laughed heartily.

I want to thank all of you for your support, guidance and humour during both the weekend survival course and the Arctic Challenge.  I aim to see you again on another challenge soon..!

Many, many thanks and kind regards,

Mike

PS. The daily grind is now even more mundane than ever before, and it's so much harder to be motivated when the 6am alarm rings......it'll be out the window one of these days..!

Time to plan the next trip me thinks.....

"We laughed and we cried.....the Arctic was an experience that we will never forget! Thanks to Intrepid Expeditions we raised £45,000 for Orchard FM's HELP A SOMERSET CHILD.  Intrepid's organization of the Arctic Survival Challenge was excellent and I highly recommend them for a trip of a lifetime".

"After attending one of Intrepid's survival weekends, we were able to successfully camp in the middle of the Kazakh steppe and light a camp fire without matches.  A brilliant course, great fun and strongly recommended."

.....and we do  mean REAL people.

"Just to say "thank you for encouraging me to take part when I was unsure if I would be able to do it and I appreciated the support of the team helping me through.  It was a life changing experience and I am so glad that I did it".

"in September 2005 I took part in the Anthony Nolan Trust Island Survival which was managed by Nigel and his team at Intrepid Expeditions. This was one of the most memorable experiences of my life, not only was I able to help a worthy cause, but also gained valuable knowledge of essential survival techniques. Intrepid Expeditions managed to promote teamwork, instill confidence and delivered excellent training. I would highly recommend them for any team build event."

"In July 2007, I took part in a fundraising "Castaway Challenge" in the New Forest, which turned out to be a complete life changing experience for me and that was all thanks to Nigel and Ritchie from Intrepid Expeditions.
A small group of us were thrown together for a week to survive in the forest, and under the expert tuition of Nigel and Ritchie we learnt everything we needed to know in order to survive in the wilderness and we also put the new skills we had learnt into practice! I enjoyed the whole experience so much, that I followed it up with a trip to Sweden in January 2008, on the Arctic Survival Challenge. This was absolutely amazing. Again, the Intrepid Expeditions team were outstanding - professional and supportive, but really good fun too.  I will definitely be doing another expedition with them really soon - these types of trip make you realise how much we take for granted in our normal day to day lives and I will be eternally grateful to Nigel and Ritchie for opening my eyes to this!"

"Just thought I would drop you a line to say "My experience of participating and organising fundraising events with Intrepid Expeditions has always been positive. Nigel and his team have a wealth of knowledge and experience that gives all event participants the confidence to achieve their goals. Intrepid Expedition Courses are well structured with professional delivery and execution of all elements.  Intrepid Expeditions described in three words informative, exhilarating, excellent."

Mr. M Whittle Exeter

"It was a great experience, we all bonded well as a team and the leaders were very knowledgably and fun to be around. The activities were great, snow-shoeing, ice-fishing, building snow-holes and shelters, snow-mobiling and especially the hot tub and sauna. Learning to live on rations and an excuse to eat lots of chocolate were also a highlight of my time there!"

Miss S Elliot

"An Intrepid Experience is simply the BEST, they put your mind, body and soul thro a searching test!  From Rutland woods to the Artic Breeze- You'll be safe with the team when you really could freeze!.  My first Intrepid experience I was really single, but I met like minded people and started to mingle. Then while ice fishing on the Artic Lakes I went a caught myself a brand new date! Now she's my wife and causing me strife!! But I really wouldn't change this whole new life!!!

An Incredible Intrepid experience - one not to be missed"
