Nigel Starlin t/a Intrepid Expeditions is a company committed to customer satisfaction and consumer financial protection. We are therefore pleased to announce that, at no extra cost to you, and in accordance with ”The Package Travel, Package Tours Regulations” all passengers booking with Nigel Starlin t/a Intrepid Expeditions are fully insured for the initial deposit, and subsequently the balance of monies paid as detailed in your booking confirmation form. The policy will also include repatriation if required, arising from the cancellation or curtailment of your travel arrangements due to the insolvency of Nigel Starlin t/a Intrepid Expeditions. This insurance has been arranged by The Travel Vault in conjunction with Towergate Travel through Zurich Insurance PLC.

Claims
In the unlikely event of Insolvency, you must Inform Towergate Chapman Stevens immediately on +44 (0) 1932 334140 or by email at tcs@towergate.co.uk . Please ensure you retain the booking confirmation form as evidence of cover and value.

Policy exclusions: This policy will not cover any monies paid for Travel Insurance

Ordering

Whilst all efforts are made to ensure accuracy of description, specifications and pricing there may be occasions where errors arise. Should such a situation occur Intrepid Expeditions cannot accept your order. In the event of a mistake you will be contacted with a full explanation and a corrected offer. The information displayed is considered as an invitation to treat not as a confirmed offer for sale. The contract is confirmed upon supply of goods.

Delivery and Returns

Intrepid Expeditions returns policy has been set up to keep costs down and to make the process as easy for you as possible. You must contact us and be in receipt of a returns authorisation (RA) number before sending any item back. Any product without a RA number will not be refunded. 

Exchange 

If when you receive your product(s), you are not completely satisfied you may return the items to us, within seven days of exchange or refund. Returns will take approximately 5 working days for the process once the goods have arrived. Items must be in original packaging, in all original boxes, packaging materials, manuals blank warranty cards and all accessories and documents provided by the manufacturer.

If our labels are removed from the product – the warranty becomes void.

We strongly recommend that you fully insure your package that you are returning. We suggest the use of a carrier that can provide you with a proof of delivery. Intrepid Expeditions will not be held responsible for items lost or damaged in transit.

All shipping back to Intrepid Expeditions is paid for by the customer. We are unable to refund you postal fees unless the items are faulty.

Any product returned found not to be defective can be refunded within the time stated above and will be subject to a 15% restocking fee to cover our administration costs. Goods found to be tampered with by the customer will not be replaced but returned at the customers expense. 

If you are returning items for exchange please be aware that a second charge may apply. 

Non-Returnable 

For reasons of hygiene and public health, refunds/exchanges are not available for used clothing or food products (this does not apply to faulty goods – faulty products will be exchanged like for like)

Discounted or our end of line products can only be returned for repair no refunds of replacements will be made.

Incorrect/Damaged Goods

We try very hard to ensure that you receive your order in pristine condition. If you do not receive your products ordered. Please contract us. In the unlikely event that the product arrives damaged or faulty, please contact Intrepid Expeditions immediately, this will be given special priority and you can expect to receive the correct item within 72 hours. Any incorrect items received all delivery charges will be refunded back onto you credit/debit card.


Delivery service

We try to make the delivery process as simple as possible and our able to send your order either you home or to your place of work.

Delivery times are calculated in working days Monday to Friday. If you order after 4 pm the next working day will be considered the first working day for delivery. In case of bank holidays and over the Christmas period, please allow an extra two working days.

We aim to deliver within 3 working days but sometimes due to high order volume certain in sales periods please allow 4 days before contacting us. We will attempt to email you if we become aware of an unexpected delay. 

Each item will be attempted to be delivered twice. Failed deliveries after this can be delivered at an extra cost to you or you can collect the package from your local post office collection point.

Export restrictions

At present Intrepid Expeditions only sends goods within the UK. We plan to add exports to our services in the future. If however you have a special  request please contact us your requirements.

Privacy Notice

This policy covers all users who register to use the website. It is not necessary to purchase anything in order to gain access to the searching facilities of the site.

Security

We have taken the appropriate measures to ensure that your personal information is not unlawfully processed. Intrepid Expeditions uses industry standard practices to safeguard the confidentiality of your personal identifiable information, including ‘firewalls’ and secure socket layers. 

During the payment process, we ask for personal information that both identifies you and enables us to communicate with you. 

We will use the information you provide only for the following purposes.

* To send you newsletters and details of offers and promotions in which we believe you will be interested. 
* To improve the content design and layout of the website. 
* To understand the interest and buying behavior of our registered users
* To perform other such general marketing and promotional focused on our products and activities. 

Conditions Of Use

Intrepid Expeditions and its affiliates provide their services to you subject to the following conditions. If you visit our shop at Intrepid Expeditions you accept these conditions. Please read them carefully, Intrepid Expeditions controls and operates this site from its offices within the UK. The laws of England and Wales govern claims relating to including the use of, this site and materials contained. 

If you choose to access from another country you do so on your own initiave and are responsible for compliance with applicable local lands.

All content includes on the site such as text, graphics logos button icons images audio clips digital downloads and software are all owned by www.whitespace-brand.co.uk and are protected by international copyright laws. 

License and Site Access

Intrepid Expeditions grants you a limited license to access and make personal use of this site. This license doses not include any resale’s of commercial use of this site or its contents any collection and use of any products any collection and use of any product listings descriptions or prices any derivative use of this site or its contents, any downloading or copying of account information. For the benefit of another merchant or any use of data mining, robots or similar data gathering and extraction tools.

This site may not be reproduced duplicated copied sold – resold or otherwise exploited for any commercial exploited without written consent of Intrepid Expeditions

Product Descriptions

Intrepid Expeditions and its affiliates attempt to be as accurate as possible however we do not warrant that product descriptions or other content is accurate complete reliable, or error free.

From time to time there may be information on Intrepid Expeditions that contains typographical errors, inaccuracies or omissions that may relate to product descriptions, pricing and availability.

We reserve the right to correct ant errors inaccuracies or omissions and to change or update information at any time without prior notice. (Including after you have submitted your order) We apologies for any inconvenience this may cause you. 

Prices

Prices and availability of items are subject to change without notice the prices advertised on this site are for orders placed and include VAT and delivery.

Should a course participant have any complaints about the challenge, they must make it known to the staff of Intrepid Expeditions at the time. If at the end of the challenge you feel that the complaint has not been properly dealt with, the participant must notify Intrepid Expeditions in writing no later than 7 days after the event.

Challenge participants are solely responsible for arranging and must be in possession of a valid passport (where applicable). Information is given on these matters or related items (clothing, climate, baggage, personal gear etc) in good faith but without responsibility on the part of Intrepid Expeditions.

Insurance

Travel insurance is mandatory for all participants on overseas challenges. Insurance must include cover for medical expenses and personal accident. The participants are responsible for arranging their own insurance.

We strongly advise that you take out travel insurance as soon as you make your booking, details are on our website.

Alterations and Cancellations by Intrepid Expeditions

Intrepid Expeditions will make every effort to adhere to the planned itinerary and programme. Intrepid Expeditions reserves the right to modify or cancel any particular activity.

Intrepid Expeditions cannot be held liable for any consequences of strikes, industrial action, wars, riots, sickness, quarantine, government intervention, weather conditions war, sale of land by owner etc or any other untoward circumstances, acts of God, or aviation technicalities.

In the event of a course cancellation due to Intrepid Expeditions own reasons not included in the above mentioned participants will be refunded the full amount of monies paid.

Alterations and cancellations made by the participant (UK courses)

If you cancel the course for whatever reasons the following refunds will apply:

The 25% deposit is non refundable.

UK based courses

The following refunds will apply, post deposit:
Within 10 weeks of the course commencement date: Full refund
Within 8 weeks of the course commencement date: 75% refund
Within 6 weeks of the course commencement date: 50% refund
Within 4 weeks of the course commencement date: No refund and full
payment required.

Alterations and cancellations made by the participant (Overseas courses)

The 25% deposit is non refundable

The following refunds will apply, post deposit:
Within 16 weeks of the course commencement date: Full refund
Within 14 weeks of the course commencement date: 75% refund
Within 12 weeks of the course commencement date: 50% refund
Within 10 weeks of the course commencement date: No refund and full
payment required.

We will automatically assume that if full payments are not paid within 8 weeks prior the departure date, we will assume you are not attending, therefore your place will be allocated to another participant and your place will be lost.

The deposit or the full price is required when you agree to these terms and have sent them back to us, however if you book within the eight weeks departure date the full price has to be paid during the booking.
If we cannot accept your payment due to availability then a full refund will be given within fourteen days of the initial booking.

If your booking has been accepted then you the customer is liable for the full payment eight weeks before the departure date.

If the customer cannot attend the course/expedition and has to cancel within the eight weeks of commencement of the course/expedition they forfeit the balance paid and are liable for the balance to be paid.

The reason for this is that expeditions /courses can be jeopardised or cancelled due to last minute cancellations which is unfair to others.
The unpaid monies that you are liable for will be passed to a third party debt collection company.
This is why travel insurance is mandatory and you are advised to take out a policy to cover you for unforeseen cancellation prior your departure date.

The £200 deposit for Charity courses is non refundable.

Bookings

Provisional bookings do not hold firm until a deposit or the full amount of monies is received by Intrepid Expeditions. Full payment must be received at least 4 weeks prior to the UK course commencement date, and 8 weeks prior any overseas course commencement date.

Safety

There are certain hazards involved with these challenges and the Intrepid Expeditions accepts responsibility for negligent acts or omissions by its staff in respect of claims arising as a result of death, bodily injury, or illness caused to the participant. Intrepid Expeditions does not accept liability for death, bodily injury or illness in other cases.

Health and fitness.

It is essential before embarking on a challenge that the participants are fit enough to undertake such activities. If you have a medical condition or history Intrepid Expeditions strongly recommends that you seek advice from your doctor. This information must in turn be added to the medical form and a member of Intrepid Expeditions must be informed.
Intrepid expeditions cannot be held responsible for injuries such as frost nip, frost bite hypothermia or hyperthermia, sunburn as these are self inflicted injuries.

Any information given to Intrepid Expeditions will be strictly confidential. Intrepid Expeditions cannot be held responsible for any illness or injury as a result of an ongoing medical condition.

If in doubt participants should contact staff of Intrepid Expeditions to discuss the requirements. Participants should be aware that medical assistance is rarely available in the remoter regions visited by Intrepid Expeditions.

Age

Course participants (hereinafter referred to as customer) must be at least 18 years of age at the course commencement date. (unless part of a school group with the schools teaching staff members attending) or on a open course a parent or guardian must attend the course/trip as well.

Conduct and etiquette
Members of Intrepid Expeditions staff will do all in their power to solve problems to the benefit of the group as a whole. They may require an individual to leave the group if they believe that the person’s health is at risk. If an illegal act has been committed, or they behave in a way to endanger the safety, enjoyment and welfare of the group, staff of Intrepid Expeditions will take such action, that the person will be asked to leave and make their way back to the UK at their own expense.

Environmental damage

The customer must respect the environment being utilised during the course period. The customer will be liable to any damage due to deliberate or negligent destruction caused to the environment or buildings or livestock. If as a result such damage occurs the customer shall be responsible for paying the reasonable costs.

if participant is found to have caused or is behaving in a malicious manner likely to cause such damage, they will be asked to leave the course or expedition.

Flights and delays
Most flights will be arranged with scheduled airlines who will usually provide refreshments, meals or accommodation where there is any substantial flight delay and when this is possible to arrange. Intrepid expeditions will not arrange these facilities if there is a delay at the outward or homeward points of departure if not offered by the airline.

Flight changes

Airlines may have to change aircraft without advance warning. You are asked to check carefully departure and check in times on your documentation when received to ensure that you arrive at the airport in sufficient time.

Passports and Visas and Health

You will be advised separately of any passports or visa requirements and any compulsory health requirements to enable you to participate in your travel arrangements. Please note that you will require a full British passport with at least 6 months unexpired at the date of return travel. For EC and other passport holders please contact Intrepid Expeditions for special requirements.

Intrepid Expeditions cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to luggage and property; they are carried at the participant’s own risk.

Equipment provided for winter trips.

You will pay the full price for the equipment lent to you if it is returned in a damaged condition or lost.

All of The equipment will be returned in the condition it was received at the end of the loaned period.

Damaged items will be paid within 14 days of the end of the trip.

3. Season 4 Roll Mat £25.00
4. Arctic Over boots £20.00

Intrepid Expeditions ATOL 9576 ……Your Financial Protection
When you buy an ATOL protected flight or flight inclusive holiday from us you
Will receive an ATOL Certificate. This lists what is financially protected, where
you can get information on what this means for you and who to contact if things
go wrong.”

“We, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL Certificate, will provide you with the
Services listed on the ATOL Certificate (or a suitable alternative). In some cases,
where neither we nor the supplier are able to do so for reasons of insolvency, an
alternative ATOL holder may provide you with the services you have bought or a
suitable alternative (at no extra cost to you). You agree to accept that in those
circumstances the alternative ATOL holder will perform those obligations and you
agree to pay any money outstanding to be paid by you under your contract to that
alternative ATOL holder. However, you also agree that in some cases it will not be
possible to appoint an alternative ATOL holder, in which case you will be entitled to
make a claim under the ATOL scheme (or your credit card issuer where applicable).”

“If we, or the suppliers identified on your ATOL certificate, are unable to provide
the services listed (or a suitable alternative, through an alternative ATOL holder or
otherwise) for reasons of insolvency, the Trustees of the Air Travel Trust may
make a payment to (or confer a benefit on) you under the ATOL scheme. You
agree that in return for such a payment or benefit you assign absolutely to those
Trustees any claims which you have or may have arising out of or relating to the
non-provision of the services, including any claim against us, the travel agent (or
your credit card issuer where applicable). You also agree that any such claims may
be re-assigned to another body, if that other body has paid sums you have claimed
under the ATOL scheme.”
